Lent

I realized this blog is turning into a second tumblr, which is probably because I've gotten kind of obsessed with tumblr (I'll put a link to mine at the end). So, since blogs usually have words, I thought it was about time I typed something in. I wouldn't call myself a religious person, but I try to give something up for lent every year. Well, recently I have, when I was younger, I had I really bad  friend. She did a number of bad things to me, including constant teasing, harrassing, and forcing me to stop being friends with my best friend (still don't understand why I let her...) but I remember whenever I gave up something for lent, she would wave in under my nose, so I eventually gave up lent for lent. But last year I gave up meat for lent (a never started eating it again) and this year I gave up ripping pages out of my sketchbook, which is harder to do then it sounds. I rip out more than half of the pages out of my sketchbook, so by stopping, I'm saving paper. So I think it works. If anyone ever reads this, do you give anything up for lent? What? And, since I brought up the topic, did you ever have a bad friend when you were young? Did they make you do anything stupid?      http://mps4earth.tumblr.com/

Left Hand, Right Brain

LEFT BRAIN: I am the left brain. I am a scientist. A mathematician. I love the familiar. I categorize. I am accurate. Linear. Analytical. Strategic. I am practical. Always in control. A master of words and language. Realistic. I calculate equations and play with numbers. I am order. I am logic. I know exactly who I am.
RIGHT BRAIN: I am the right brain. I am creativity. A free spirit. I am passion. Yearning. Sensuality. I am the sound of roaring laughter. I am taste. The feeling of sand beneath bare feat. I am movement. Vivid colors. I am the urge to paint on an empty canvas. I am boundless imagination. Art. Poetry. I sense. I feel. I am everything I wanted to be.
